US-Israel: ‘All options are NOT on the table’
One cannot count how many times the American and Israeli leader have threatened Islamic Republic ‘all options are on the table’ unless Tehran stop its civilian nuclear program. What these leaders in reality mean that ‘all options, less military attack, are on the table’. That’s why they’re so anxious to bring a regime-change in Tehran
“The nuclear file of Israel goes back more than 40 years; and no one is asking questions as Israel is allowed to have nuclear weapons while Iran is not allowed to have a nuclear program which is civilian,” Kris Janssen, Belgium-born Middle East expert, analyst, author and political commentator in an interview he gave to Press TV. Watch video below.
“Aside from Israel, no countries would be waiting in line to join a US attack on Iran,” said Thomas Pickering, former US ambassador to Israel, Russia and India, during Arms Control Association briefing on June 7, 2011.
However, the Israeli Hasbara (propaganda) outlets backed by the Ziocon lawmakers have never been known for being ashamed of their lies about Iran, Hamas, Hizbullah, Pakistan and the rest of Muslim world. Recently, Wall Street Journal claimed that Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has replaced Al-Qaeda attacks on American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The WSJ claims that Iran’s arms shipments ‘escalate the shadow competition for influence playing out between Tehran and Washington across the Middle East and North Africa’. I guess these Iranian ‘shipments’ must be more than $3 billion military aid Israel receives from US on annual basis or the $350 million worth Israel’s annual arms sale to foreign groups to destablize Muslim countries.
Several military and political leaders have warned Ziocons that Iran poses no threat to Israel or American forces in Iran’s neighboring countries – but if Israel or the US started the war with Iran – it could turn out to be a real Holocaust for the Israeli Jews.
Meir Dagan, former head of Israeli Mossad, Israel’s foreign intelligence service, referred last month to the possibility of an Israeli Air Force attack on Iranian nuclear facilities as “the stupidest thing I have ever heard.”
The former Chief of Israel Occupation Force (IOF) Lieutenant-General Gabi Ashkenazi, General Amos Yadlin, former head of IOF intelligence and former Shin Bet domestic security chief Gen. Yuval Diskin have all expressed their opinion that Israeli army is not capable of defeating Iran but a war with Iran will result in a great Jewish tragedy.
Former CENTCOM Commander Adm. William Fallon has long been an opponent of American attack on Iran. He said at an American Iranian Council symposium that the best strategy would be to set aside the use of force against Tehran.
Former 5th Fleet commander in the Persian Gulf, Vice Adm. Kevin Cosgriff also warned both Washington and Tel Aviv publicly about the negative consequences of a preventive attack.
The outgoing Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Adm. Mike Mullen and outgoing Secretary of Defense Robert Gates have expressed strong reservations about resorting to the “military option”.
David Albright and Jacqueline Shire of the Institute for Science and International Security noted in a 2007 article that pre-empt military option was built on “a false promise because it offers no assurances that an Iranian nuclear weapons program would be substantially or irreversibly set back”.
Vice JCS Chairman Gen. James Cartwright, recently told Senate that the only way to stop Tehran nuclear program – would be to occupy Iran physically (like Afghanistan and Iraq).
Alireza Nader, an analyst with Ziocon think tank Rand Corp. told Arms Control Association briefing recently that Iranian nation is very supportive of Iran’s nuclear program and jealous of Iran’s sovereignty. If attacked, they would demand retaliation against US interests in the region including Israel.
