After three consecutive days of assaults in the parliament against Hezbollah, its arms and its four members accused by the STL in assassinating PM Rafiq Hariri, Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Nawwaf Al-Moussawi requested Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to give him the chance of responding to the false claims and accusations:
Let me remind you that the (Hezbollah) Secretary General (Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah) has addressed Bellemare live and told him that our trust in the tribunal has become precarious, and you have to do three things in order to restore confidence: first is to trace the false witnesses that all sides confirmed that they have misled the investigations; to stop the leaks that harm the standing of the tribunal as well as its reputation, which is what we have been asking since the beginning, to later figure out that leaks are part of the tribunal’s mechanism; and third is that the evidences presented by Sayyed Nasrallah, that at least put doubt, should open a new path that includes the assumption that Israel is involved in assassinating (PM Rafiq) Hariri. When I hear some people try to exclude the Israeli assumption, I feel that they are offending PM Hariri and not anyone else, and we believe that he was always an Israeli target. We have changed our stance from the tribunal because it turned to be a tribunal that did not prosecute false witnesses, as well as their operators and fabricators, and we will not trust it. Mr. Marwan (Hamadeh), before dreaming of a tribunal for Palestine, which is a dream similar to Icarus’s dream to reach the sun, Let us ask for something within reach, that is for the tribunal to regain its credibility by prosecuting the false witnesses who misled the investigations for four years, accused Syria, and imprisoned four officers that have not regained their right by trialing those who accused them unjustly. We have presented evidences and brought proofs about the presence of executive agents at the scene of the crime, of which the Lebanese apparatuses know about, and is holding some of them. We Also said that there were agents collecting information about (Lebanese army Chief) General (Jean) Qahwaji and his yacht, as well as the president’s house. Furthermore, agents in telecom companies were uncovered, and it later appeared that a phone call –the information is available with the intelligence and the army- was made from Beirut, and eight seconds later a call from the same number was made from Tyr. How is that? The Israeli was capable of controlling from the occupied territories. What did the investigation committee do about that? We said that there were aircrafts taking pictures, and we said that these aircrafts took pictures from Faqra to Shafiq (brother of Rafiq Hariri) Hariri’s house, in addition to places like the government palace. The scene also revealed, by date, that Hariri was in the building. We handed all these documents over to the concerned Lebanese sides. Some Israeli agents spoke about black bags with explosives. Nobody asked about these black bags. They rather started speaking about “black shirts”… This tribunal includes a section about Syrian witnesses. No judiciary in the world would let someone raise an accusation without permitting you to know who he is. Moreover, experts that the tribunal resorts to are employees, and it was a “coincidence” that all of them were either officers in the Israeli Moussad, or if related to the French or American or any Western intelligence, then they would be specialized in so-called fighting “Islamic terrorism”. Are these going to investigate the Israeli assumption? Our list is full with remarks, but I will state only two. The first issue is that I announce that Mr. Bellemare is personally involved in lifting the “red notice” on false witness Zuhair Al-Siddiq from the Interpol in Lyon and Damascus, as well as the involvement of a security forces chief in lifting this notice from the Interpol on his name in Beirut. There are many leaks. One local channel was able to receive witnesses’ recordings, and the international tribunal did not take any action. The incitement was made public before Judge Said Mirza receives it.
This international tribunal that we are asked to submit to, its job has become to target us. Once, an international delegate sat with me and eventually told me: we have been changing subjects for two hours but our matter is one. It is Imad Moghnieh. Hajj Imad martyred, and this is an honor and pride that we hope for day and night. Who remained? Those accused are targeted in their reputation, just as the resistance is targeted by that. To know the answer, let us ask who assisted (Nabih) Berri and (Walid) Jumblatt in defeating May 17 agreement; let us ask who was supporting the resistance in Gaza, when the tyrannical system (Israel) was starving the children in Gaza; let us ask the Iraqi resistance about who supported it and the rich history of the Lebanese resistance’s bravery. This is a long account with the Israelis and the Israeli defender in Lebanon. The answer is with Israeli forces chief who was executed on the Lebanese lands in Ansariah’s ambush, and the list goes on about the reasons behind targeting these names. Maybe somewhere, if our Arab brothers were asked about Kuwait resistance’s founder, so that Kuwait wouldn’t have become a legitimate goal for invaders, they would find an answer that someone went there to protect the country. Maybe, it (targeting the resistance) has increased now after an accomplishment that disturbed the American intelligence in Lebanon, as Hezbollah was able to uncover their violation. This is not easy, and that who is knowledgeable about the “war drain” and how it is fought with the fiercest apparatuses in the world, would recognize the value of these accomplishments. We love this country, and our evidence is that we die every day for its sake. Our youth have died, and we will die in the future. We will not abandon this country, we want it with all its citizens. Before his martyrdom, PM Hariri had firm alliance with the Secretary General (Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah) that was sponsored by (Parliament Speaker) Mr. Nabih Berri. We are with the Lebanese because they want this government to be a rescue government from incitements and subordination, which Lebanon will not get rid off by foreign support claimed to be “sovereignty”. |
