Two More Israeli Agents, Including Female, Arrested in Lebanon

Two More Israeli Agents, Including Female, Arrested in Lebanon

22/05/2009 The Israeli-Mossad spying networks continue to head towards collapse amid daily achievements by the Internal Security Forces (ISF) through the forms of arrests…

On Friday, the ISF-Information Branch arrested a woman identified as K.N., 28, on suspicion of spying for the Zionist entity. She was arrested in Marjayoun-Hasbaya, but she is from the southern region of the Shebaa Farms.

One day ago, police arrested another suspect in Rashaya overnight in connection with the Israel-linked espionage networks.

The man was only identified as Ziad.S., who hails from the southern town of Shebaa. He is in his 70s. Lebanese daily Al-Bairaq, however, identified him as Ziad Al-Saadi.

According to press reports, the new agent sold four days ago one of his cafés in Shebaa, perhaps for his intention to escape after feeling that he might be uncovered. Information Branch officers also searched his home and confiscated some equipment.

Meanwhile, Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar quoted a security official as saying that "all agents must know that we'll continue our work until dismantling the whole Israeli intelligence infrastructure in Lebanon."

"What we already achieved is not everything," the official emphasized.

Another Israeli Spy Arrested in Lebanon

23/05/2009 The daily arrests of Israeli spies and agents spread all over Lebanon continued on Saturday…

Indeed, the Lebanese Army arrested on Saturday morning another Israeli agent, named Jawdat H., from the Ibl El-Saki town, on suspicion of collaborating with the Zionist entity.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese authorities have reportedly released a woman and her brother in law who were arrested on suspicion of dealing with Israel one day earlier after finding out that the two suspects were innocent.
Indeed, evidence found in the woman's home in Shebaa later turned out to belong to her father who has been serving a jail sentence in Syria since 2006 for collaborating with Israeli intelligence. Investigations showed the two suspects were unaware of the nature of the evidence, a security source told Al-Manar.

In a separate development, security forces raided the home of Mustapha Said near Ain el-Helweh camp following his arrest Friday morning in al-Qassir village in Nabatiyeh on suspicion of spying for the Zionist entity. Said is the former brother in law of another suspect Nasser Nader who has been dubbed by investigators as one of the most valuable detainees in the espionage investigation.

Investigations showed that Said, along with Nader, was involved in the preparation for the murder of resistance leader Ghaleb al-Awali. Said and Nader were not members of the same ring but accidently ran into each other when the latter was inspecting the neighborhood where Awali lived in the southern suburbs.

Nader then informed the Israelis out of fear of being uncovered and was then told that Mustapha was also a collaborator. The two men continued their mission up until the execution of the murder, the daily said.

According to investigators, Nader was also responsible of monitoring one of the resistance's operations areas in the south during the 1980's and was behind the death of a large number of fighters after informing the Israelis of their positions. He was also responsible for the destruction of tens of buildings in the southern suburbs during the July 2006 war on Lebanon.
