DAMASCUS, (PIC)-- Khaled Mishaal, the political bureau chairman of Hamas, has said that the direct negotiations between the PA in Ramallah and the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) were not legitimate.
He told a ceremony organized in Damascus on Sunday by the PFLP-GC that the talks with the IOA whether direct or indirect were not legitimate.
The Hamas leader said that the Arab cover for direct negotiation was worthless and did not grant it legitimacy because it was imposed on the Arabs.
Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Sunday that the PA-IOA direct talks would kick off in mid August.
