   In the September 2010 edition of Australia/Israel Review, there is an interview with Ron Ben Yishai – a gentleman who is described as a (the?) “leading Israeli war correspondent”. Most of it is about Hezbollah, the Goldstone Report, etc., but it concludes with some comments about the Freedom Flotilla. This is the third-to-last paragraph:
   He [Ben Yishai] described the shooting of the second Israeli soldier to land on the ship, who was severely wounded. “He was five seconds behind the first soldier,” but was already shot, “so they did not have time to snatch the gun off the first soldier and use it against him. Which means he was shot by someone who had a weapon and was ready for him.”
   This allegation was new to me. Has anyone else previously heard it? If it is not a recent invention, why wasn’t it mentioned in the first reports of the incident and in Corbin’s documentary? After all, it is the stuff of screaming headlines.
