BEIRUT, (PIC)-- Hamas political official in Lebanon Ali Baraka called on the PLO and other Arab supporters of the peace talks with Israel to recant their views.
The goal of the direct negotiations, as declared by Israel and the U.S. administration, is to establish a Jewish state in Palestine, waive Palestinian refugees’ right to return, and judaize Jerusalem, Baraka warned as he marked the 28th anniversary of the Sabra-Shatila massacre.
“If the aim of the Sabra-Shatila massacre in 1982 was to displace Palestinian refugees from Lebanon and resettle them far from Palestine, the goal of the direct negotiations is to ‘liquidate’ the refugees cause completely and finish what Sharon started in the Sabra-Shatila massacre,” the Hamas official added.
The Sabra-Shatila massacre was no more than a link in a chain of ongoing Israeli massacres against the Palestinian people, he added, stressing that the Israeli state has flourished on the blood and wounds of the Palestinian people.
