Boy hit by settler’s car in Silwan arrested
[ 14/10/2010 - 11:07 AM ]
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Israeli police arrested Tuesday one of the boys in Jerusalem’s Silwan district who was deliberately hit by the car of a Jewish man several days back.
Mohammed Sharaf was arrested before finishing his medical treatment for the several fractures and bruises he sustained after settlement chief David Be’eri hit him and a number of other Palestinians in the Silwan district with his vehicle alleging that they were throwing stones at his car.
Pictures of Sharaf flying in the air shown on TV before being hit a second time by the far right Jew sparked Palestinians' outrage over Israeli abuse against Palestinian children.
The Palestinian Prisoners Committee called on human rights organizations to step in to release Sharaf, saying Israel “engages in terrorism against the child to conceal the signs of its crime.”
