NAZARETH, (PIC)-- Israeli Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch said security forces are gearing for all potential scenarios if a decision is passed to deport all Palestinians from 1948 occupied lands into the West Bank, in a plan termed “trading land and people”.

Israeli security forces have recently been conducting military exercises simulating how to deal with what is termed “violent incidents that may occur in the Arab sector” when deporting 1948 Palestinians to PA controlled territories in the West Bank, in accordance with any framework of potential peace agreements between Tel Aviv and Ramallah.

Israeli Radio reported Wednesday that Aharonovitch said Israeli military forces are preparing for every possible scenario imaginable and will take into account the public’s sensitivity.

Responding to the military exercises, Arab rights groups asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to officially announce that 1948 Arabs would not be deported to the West Bank, adding that the military exercises indicated that the "transfer" idea was on the agenda of the Israeli government.
