PLC: Israel's loyalty oath will lead to a new Palestinian Nakba
GAZA, (PIC)-- The Palestinian legislative council (PLC) said it categorically rejects the loyalty oath law which was devised by the Israeli occupation state, saying it is a prelude to a new Palestinian Nakba (catastrophe) that would lead to the displacement of all Palestinians and eliminate their right to return.
In a report issued by its political committee on Tuesday, the PLC reiterated its strong condemnation of the remarks made by de facto president Mahmoud Abbas in which he declared his readiness to waive the historical demands of the Palestinian people and end the conflict with the Israeli occupation in exchange for a Palestinian state within 1967 borders.
The PLC stressed the importance of building a national front of all resistance factions to encounter the trend of concessions and defeatism in the West Bank and work on isolating its followers nationally by all means available.
The political committee warned in its report that this Israeli law would make the Palestinian natives in the 1948 occupied lands illegal citizens and thus they would be expelled gradually and would wipe out any chance for the Palestinian refugees to return to their homes.
The report recommended the need for organizing public, media and political events to explain the risks and consequences of this law and contacting the Arab and international parliaments to urge them to condemn this law and the Palestinian Authority's peace talks and security cooperation with the Israeli occupation.
