WEST BANK, (PIC)-- The Hamas lawmakers condemned the remarks made by de facto president Mahmoud Abbas about his readiness to waive the Palestinian people's historical rights as shameful and irresponsible, stressing that the national rights and constants are inalienable and belong to all Palestinians.

In a statement on Tuesday, the lawmakers said that Abbas's remarks are part of his concession policy which the Palestinian cause is afflicted with.

They highlighted that Abbas is not entitled at all to end the Palestinian people's historical claims and the only authorized party is the resistance which is capable of ending the Palestinian conflict with the Israeli occupation without making concessions.

"Abbas and the Arabs have no right to recognize [Israel] as a Jewish state which is hostile not only to the Palestinians but to all Arabs, especially since this recognition will harm our people in the 1948 occupied lands and is considered a blatant violation of the UN resolution 194 which called for the return of refugees and guaranteeing their rights," the lawmakers underlined.

In a separate incident, the Palestinian authority's security militias and the Israeli occupation forces kidnapped five Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas in the cities of Nablus, Ramallah and Tulkarem, according to local sources on Tuesday.

GAZA, (PIC)-- The Islamic Jihad Movement strongly denounced de facto president Mahmoud Abbas for declaring his readiness to waive the Palestinian people's historical constants and rights and announce the end of the conflict with Israel if he reached a peaceful settlement with it.

Senior Islamic Jihad official Khader Habib told the Palestinian information center (PIC) on Monday that Abbas's remarks are unacceptable and will be confronted strongly by the Palestinian people.

"Neither Abbas nor anyone is authorized to declare the end of the conflict with the Zionist enemy. As long as there is one Zionist on our land, his stay is illegal and he must be fought and expelled, the official stressed.

"The conflict with the enemy will continue, and such remarks put Abbas in an awkward and difficult situation," he added.

Abbas said in an interview with Israel's channel one that he is ready to declare the end of the Palestinian conflict with Israel and all historical claims if he reached a peaceful settlement with it.

RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- De facto Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas has declared readiness to announce an end to the conflict with Israel and give up most of historical Palestine.

Abbas, speaking in an interview with the Israeli Channel One TV last night, said that he was ready to declare an end to Palestinian demands and an end to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the event a peaceful settlement was reached.

Abbas, also the leader of Fatah faction, said that he recognizes Israel and then it has the right to call itself whatever it likes whether Jewish or otherwise. He noted, however, that Israel did not ask Egypt or Jordan or any other country to recognize it as a "Jewish state".
