NABLUS, (PIC)-- Palestinian families of political detainees staged a sit-in on Saturday morning outside Al-Juneid military prison in Nablus city.
The families had told a reporter for the Palestinian information center (PIC) they would hold a sit-in outside the prison on the day of their weekly visit to see their sons, pointing out that their sons would refrain from leaving their cells today until the demands for their release are met.

"It is time to turn the page of political detention after the Palestinian reconciliation agreement was signed," a parent said
According to families, there are 40 Palestinians affiliated with Hamas inside the Palestinian Authority jails, 14 of them were unfairly sentenced to several years in prison by military courts.
In a related incident, the PA intelligence apparatus kidnapped on Friday morning a Palestinian young man called Awni Awawdeh from Karmeh village, south of Al-Khalil city.
Local sources said that armed forces from the PA intelligence stormed a house in the village and rounded up Awawdeh after they failed two days ago to capture him.
For its part, the PA preventive security on Thursday refused to release citizens after the Palestinian court in Halhul city, north of Al-Khalil, ordered their release.
The family of detainee Mousa Halaiqa said the preventive security refused to release their son who received a release sentence.
The same security apparatus also refused to release two other citizens, Muheeb Halaiqa and Mohamed Nasim from Al-Shiyukh town in Al-Khalil, who received court orders for their release.
Six other political detainees from Shallaldah family and Dura city who were supposed to be out of jail according to court orders are still being held by the preventative security.
In this regard, Sheikh Saleh Al-Aruri, a member of Hamas's political bureau, said the issue of political detainees in PA jails is a first priority for his Movement, noting that Mahmoud Abbas promised to address this issue immediately after his return from a visit to Germany this week.
Sheikh Aruri told the PIC that Hamas delegation handed Fatah officials in Cairo a list of all political detainees, about 150 citizens, in West Bank jails.
He noted that Hamas is still in contact with Cairo and all parties to follow up the mechanisms for releasing these political detainees.
