European campaign: Continued Gaza siege proves collusion of world community

BRUSSELS, (PIC)-- The international silence toward the Israeli siege on Gaza for the fifth consecutive year displays the world community’s collusion, the European campaign to lift the siege on Gaza said in a press release on Wednesday.
It asserted, in this regard, that the freedom flotilla 2 would set sail as scheduled by end of this month carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, adding that any obstacle facing one or more of the participants in this fleet would not affect the rest.
The campaign said in the statement issued on the fifth anniversary of the siege that the blockade threatened whatever is remained of a dignified life for the Gaza inhabitants.
It charged that despite Israeli allegation of easing the siege yet medical and food supplies, fuel, raw and construction material, along with other necessary goods are still denied full access.

It said that the siege led to negative impact on various, health, educational, nutritional, and humanitarian fields in addition to paralyzing the industrial sector and to record high unemployment rates.
