After Lybia, Amre Mussa "worried, angry & actively monitoring" Syria!

Amre Mussa Statements 'Unbalanced', 'Flagrant Disregard of What Syria Faces': Ambassador Ahmad

CAIRO, (SANA)- Syria's Permanent Representative to the Arab League (AL), Ambassador Youssef Ahmad blasted Monday earlier statements by AL Secretary General, Amre Moussa, as 'unbalanced' and as 'flagrant disregard of what Syria faces of foreign schemes implementing an agenda and domestic tools seeking to damage Syria's security and stability, harming Syria's stances, and the independence of its national and pan-Arab decision.''

''The ambitions and election agendas of Mr. Moussa have made him choosing a dubious timing serving these ambitious, making him turn blind eyes to what Syria is exposed to, which Moussa very well knows,'' added Ambassador Ahmad asserting that AL Secretary General responds to international pressures, which were put on him when it came to the Libyan File.

''Days before leaving his post as AL Secretary General, Moussa calls for a kind of foreign intervention in the Syrian Affairs, when the Libyan blood, shed by NATO air strikes as a result for a Security Council resolution, based, regrettably on an Arab demand in which Moussa's efforts immensely contributed, isn't dry yet,'' exclaimed the Ambassador.
Ambassador Ahmad reiterated that Syria would pursue the path of reforms meeting the legitimate demands of its citizens, and in carrying out its national duty to protect Syria and its stability, warning any party against exploiting the blood of the Syrians as a tool for especial schemes, ambitions, or for meeting the agenda of the west to adopt a UN Security Council resolution against Syria.

Arabs are "worried, angry & actively monitoring" Syria!

"... "Though their views differ, Arab states are all worried, angry and actively monitoring the current crisis in Syria," Secretary-General Amr Moussa said in a statement. "What we are hearing and monitoring, about many victims falling, indicates great tumult in Syria ... The situation in Syria should not be left in this state."...
The Arab League has been largely reticent on the situation in Syria, which unlike Egypt and key Gulf Arab states is allied with non-Arab Iran. Moussa, who steps down this year, said Arab states were trying to agree on a common position regarding Syria. "Continuation of the status quo could lead to what may not be desired ... for Syria," he said, without elaborating.
The Arab League paved the way for NATO military strikes on Libya (but are) yet to take a position on a Franco-British proposal, opposed by Russia and China, to have the Security Council condemn Assad's domestic crackdowns."
