Alliance of Palestinian Forces Rejects Indirect Talks with Israel
Al-Manar
08/03/2010 The Alliance of Palestinian Forces affirmed on Monday rejecting the decision of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to restart negotiations indirectly with Israel.
The Alliance said that restarting negotiations would not reflect the will of the Palestinian people, and it would constitute kowtowing to US and Zionist pressure.
The Alliance said in a statement that the decision of renegotiations is a pretext for the Israeli operations to continue their settlement policy including confiscating Palestinian Muslim and Christian holy sites and Judaizing them.
Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) and representatives of PLO rejected to postpone the indirect negotiations with Israel, noting that the Israeli government policies on settlement put the negotiations on standstill.

GAZA, (PIC)-- Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya on Monday met with leaders of the resistance factions in Gaza city and discussed with them the latest political developments especially the serious decision taken by the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah to resume peace talks with Israel.
A spokesman for the factions told a news conference that the resistance factions confirmed during the meeting their categorical rejection of the decision taken by the Palestine liberation organization (PLO) endorsing the resumption of negotiations with Israel.
The spokesman also said that the Arab support of this decision constituted a cover-up and motivation for the Israeli occupation to persist in its criminal policy against the Palestinian people and their holy shrines.
Premier Haneyya also discussed with the factions the security situation in Gaza and hailed the efforts made by the Palestinian security apparatuses to enforce law and order and their success in fighting crime.
For their part, the Palestinian factions in Syria expressed on Monday their rejection of the PA decision to resume talks with Israel, saying that the decision does not reflect the aspirations of the Palestinian people and their will and was taken in response to Zio-American dictates
In a joint statement, the factions added that the decision would entrench the inter-Palestinian division, cover up the settlement and Judaization activities and embellish the image of the Israeli occupation and its ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people.
The statement called on all Palestinian factions and forces at home and abroad to confront such decisions and attitudes which are detrimental to the Palestinian cause and shoulder their responsibilities in this regard.
The Emarati Al-Khaleej newspaper also criticized on Monday the resumption of negotiation with Israel, describing the peace talks as a Trojan horse that holds everything evil inside it against the Palestinian cause and the Arab solidarity.
The newspaper also described the PA-Israeli negotiations as a game which the Arabs keep dancing around.
It slammed the US position towards the mere concern expressed by the UN Security Council about the Israeli violations in occupied Jerusalem, saying that even "concern" is forbidden in the American lexicon.
“When the Israeli troops desecrate the Islamic holy sites and terrorize and assault worshipers, the Security Council has nothing but to express its concern; and when the brutality of these troops gets worse and they indulge in the use of weapons against unarmed civilians, the Security Council equalizes between the victim and the executioner and ask them both to restrain themselves,” the newspaper underscored.
“The US failed to curb its bias as it was exercising its impartial mediation between the victim and the executioner, and declared its condemnation of the Security Council’s concern over what was happening in the occupied territories," the newspaper added mocking the US position.
