MANAMA, (PIC)-- Iran's ambassador to Bahrain Hussein Abdelahyan warned Israel of any intention to intercept or attack the aid ship Tehran intends to send to the besieged Gaza Strip next week.
Abdelahyan told a news conference on Tuesday in Manama that if Israel targeted the aid ship, Iran would not hesitate to retaliate.
He noted that the ship will be loaded with food and carrying officials from the Iranian Red Crescent, denying that there will be military forces on board.
For its part, the youth organization affiliated with Red Crescent in Iran said that 110,000 Iranians have donated their organs to the victims of Israel's war on Gaza.
In the meantime, the Israeli navy is getting prepared to intercept the Lebanese aid ship which is due to sail for Gaza within a few days, claiming that there will be fighters from Hezbollah aboard.
Israeli security officials spread allegations about the presence of Hezbollah fighters on board the ship through Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper in its Thursday issue.
Israeli war minister Ehud Barak discussed yesterday with senior officials from the military intelligence and the navy the preparations underway for dealing with the Lebanese and Iranian aid ships.
