AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- A 9-year-old Palestinian child was run over by an Israeli army jeep south of Al-Khalil city on Tuesday and has reportedly sustained serious injuries.
Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli army jeep deliberately hit the child Ahmed Said causing head and leg injuries.
They said that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) then carried the child in an Israeli ambulance to a hospital in Kiryat Arba settlement.
IOF troops at dawn Tuesday launched several search campaigns in towns and villages in Al-Khalil district following the resistance attack on Monday that left a soldier dead and three others wounded.
Local sources said that IOF soldiers detained three young men of one family in Beit Uwa village and three others in Beit Ummar village.
Meanwhile, IOF troops and border policemen provided protection for municipality employees in occupied Jerusalem while destroying a Palestinian garage on Tuesday.
