NAZARETH, (PIC)-- The family of captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit has decided to step up a campaign of pressure on premier Benjamin Netanyahu to demand his release.
The family addressed a press conference in Tel Aviv on Monday saying that protest steps would be escalated to pressure Netanyahu and his government to sign the prisoners exchange deal in order to secure Shalit's release.
Noam Shalit, father of the captured soldier, said that his son has been held in captivity for almost four years and "we cannot wait more than that, on 27 of this month we will walk in a protest march toward the home of the premier in Jerusalem".
He asked for public support, adding that the family members would remain in a protest tent until Shalit's return home.
He charged that two premiers, two war ministers and two chiefs of staff have so far failed in bringing Shalit back home, adding that he would no longer tolerate statements that delayed the release of his son.
