LAHORE, (PIC)-- A meeting of six leading religious parties of Pakistan Friday issued scathing condemnation of Israel for laying a 3-year siege of Palestinians in Gaza and even attacking and killing international aid workers bringing food and medicine for the victims.

“Israel has been committing gross violations of all international laws and human rights charter, fully supported by Washington, and yet the world community failed to take any punitive measures against her like it did against Muslim countries like Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and Iran,” said Prof Sajid Mir, an ex-Senator who is head of Jamiat Ahle Hadith, a component of the MMA, the six party alliance which won unexpected number of parliamentary seats in 2002 elections riding a wave of anti-US sentiments in the wake of allied invasion on Afghanistan following 9-11.

The meeting which was called to seek revival of MMA as political alliance was full of condemnation for Muslim rulers who had failed to protect Muslims being victimized in Palestine, Kashmir, Afghanistan and Iraq. “As long as the Muslim rulers continue to play puppets of Washington, they would spell doom for the Ummah,” said

Prof. Sajid Mir while briefing newsmen in the capital of largest Pakistani province of Punjab. The meeting however was all praise for Turkish president RecipTeyip Erdogan, who has announced to break Gaza siege at costs, and called upon the rest of the Muslim rulers to extend him support, even verbally if they could.

Meanwhile, the top religious clerics of Pakistan condemned Israel and US for trying to starve to death Palestinian Muslims, a large rally by Jamaat-ud-Dawah, a religious and social welfare organization banned by UN for involved in helping out Al-Qaeda, marched on the busiest city street in support of Palestinians and slammed Israel and US for trying to cause a genocide of Palestinians.

The rallyists raising slogans and holding banners and placards in support of Palestinians’ cause, swarmed at one of the busiest squares in heart of city’s commercial district in shape of a large public meeting, where speakers demanded the Muslim rulers to join hands with Turkey to break the Gaza siege.

They warned that the trio of US, Israel and India, would continue to attack Muslim states one after the other in an attempt to weaken the collective resistance of Muslims against their enemies.

The speakers coming from all shades of society, also warned the Muslim rulers against continuing Washington’s slavery, and said if they failed to protect the interests of Muslim people any longer; the masses would rise and remove them from their palaces.
