GAZA, (PIC)-- A Palestinian resistance fighter was wounded on Thursday when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stationed southeast of the Gaza Strip fired at the outskirts of Khan Younis city, medical sources said.
Dr. Muawiya Hasanein, the director of ambulance services, said that the IOF tanks fired a number of shells at a group of resistance fighters in Abasan village, east of Khan Younis, injuring one of them.
He said that the fighter, whose name was not known yet, was taken to Nasser government hospital in Khan Younis for treatment of shrapnel injures in his leg.
Palestinian security sources said that the IOF artillery fired three projectiles at agricultural land east of Khan Younis.
IOF troops advanced east of Rafah on Thursday morning and bulldozed Palestinian land lots.
Meanwhile, IOF troops rounded up 11 Palestinian citizens in various West Bank areas at dawn Thursday, the Hebrew radio reported.
Locals said that IOF soldiers stormed the city of Qalqilia and villages in the districts of Ramallah, Al-Khalil, Bethlehem, and Jenin and detained those civilians.
IOF troops also at dawn Thursday arrested Mazen Al-Danbak, 34, from Nablus city only one month after his release form Israeli jails where he had served 8 years.
In another development, Zionist settlers burnt tens of Palestinian olive and almond trees in Barta'a village, Jenin district, on Wednesday.
Eyewitnesses said that the settlers sneaked into the fields under the protection of IOF troops and started the fires, adding that the soldiers blocked firefighters and civil squads from reaching the area in the suitable time to control the fire.
