Al-KHALIL, (PIC)-- Palestinian local sources identified security men in civilian clothes from the Palestinian Authority who participated in the Israeli military operation that happened on Friday in Al-Khalil city and led to the assassination of resistance fighters Nash'at Al-Karmi and Mamoun Al-Natsha.
The sources told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that they recognized PA security men in civilian clothes present at the scene where the resistance fighters were assassinated, and saw them contacting the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) before the raid.
They added that following Al-Khalil resistance operation which was carried out last month by Al-Qassam Brigades, the PA security militias were intensively deployed in civilian clothes in the West Bank, especially in Al-Khalil.
At the time, according to the sources, a joint large force of PA officers and Israeli troops stormed the area of Bani Naim where Al-Qassam operation took place and confiscated all videotapes from all surveillance systems of the shops in the area.
This raid led to the recognition of the car used by Al-Qassam fighters in their attack and later to the detention of its owner.
The PA militias, afterwards, arrested and interrogated everyone related to or just knowing Al-Qassam fighters Karmi and Natsha before they were assassinated this Friday, the sources elaborated.
A separate informed local source in the city affirmed that the results of investigations conducted by the PA militias were sent regularly to the IOF and the Shin Bet command, and there was a joint committee from PA and Israeli officers responsible for gathering information in this regard.
The PIC, for its part, solicited the views of some Palestinian politicians and political analysts who agreed and expressed their belief that the PA and its security militias were involved in the assassination of Al-Qassam fighters in Al-Khalil.
Dr. Yousuf Rizqa, the political advisor to the Palestinian premier in Gaza, said that the PA has an indirect role in the assassination according to its security cooperation agreement with the Israeli occupation state.
Dr. Rizqa added that this agreement enables the IOF troops to move freely in West Bank cities and carry out operations while the PA security apparatuses have to evacuate their forces from the targeted areas and act as if they see nothing happen.
He stressed that the PA is able to stop these Israeli operations through preventing the IOF troops from entering the targeted areas and confronting them instead of opening the way for them to do what they want.
Political analysts Fayez Abu Shamaleh and Mustafa Al-Sawwaf also echoed what Dr. Rizqa said, affirming that Al-Qassam fighters were assassinated by both the PA militias and Israeli soldiers in the context of the security cooperation between them.
