Analyst: The steps taken by the PA cannot prevent the winds of change

RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Palestinian political analyst Hani Al-Masri said that the steps taken by the Fatah-controlled Palestinian authority (PA) including the cabinet reshuffle and the call for local elections cannot limit the impacts of the Egyptian and Tunisian revolutions.

This is not the kind of change which the West Bankers seek, Masri added in a press statement to Quds Press.

The analyst underlined that the Palestinian people want unity on the basis of a national program and a national consensus, because the internal reconciliation is capable of achieving their goals after all previous strategies proved failure.

He slammed the PA for its decision to hold legislative and presidential elections next September and highlighted that if the PA aims to maneuver, the Palestinian people can no longer tolerate this situation.

The analyst warned that the internal division in the Palestinian arena would deepen, if these elections were held.
