Fatwa on demand: Breaking Gaza Truce is HARAM

The Ministry of Religious Affairs in the government in Gaza, issued a fatwa:

"Violaton of the truce with Israel is HARAM as long as Israel respects the truce, stressing that "the violation of the truce with Israel is haram and corruption on earth." Salman Nasr Al-Dayeh in his fatwa issued by the ministry to "respect the truce is the duty of every one of us."

If you ask the Minister: Why?

He will tell you: "And if they incline to peace, then incline to itPeace) and trust in Allah; surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing". (61) Taking the verses out of the text, ignoring the verses (60) and abusing the Arabic grammer.

  • "And prepare against them what force (Deterrent forces) you can and horses tied at the frontier, to frighten thereby the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them, whom you do not know (but) Allah knows them; and whatever thing you will spend in Allah's way (Aquire Power to Prevent Agression) , it will be paid back to you fully and you shall not be dealt with unjustly. (60)
  • And if they incline to peace, then incline to it (to force in previous verses because Force prevented war and forced the enemy to incline to peace) and trust in Allah; surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. (61)  - See my detailed interpretation here]

Two Palestinians in their 20s were injured by Israeli gunfire in the southern Gaza Strip, despite the Egypt-mediated ceasefire agreement, which took effect on November 21 after eight days of Israeli onslaught on Gaza.
Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said the Palestinians were shot by Israeli occupation troops on Monday as they walked near the border fence in southern Gaza.
Qudra stated that the shooting occurred near the fence to the east of the southern city of Rafah, which has been under an Israeli blockade for the past five years. He indicated that one man was shot in the arm and the other in the leg.
