Zios in panic over Goldstone

London Jewish News carries a report of a petition headed "No to Goldstone" being posted to the UK Prime Minister's Downing Street website as follows:

We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to declare the UK’s opposition to the Goldstone Report and to ensure its rejection when a vote is taken in the UN Human Rights Council in March 2010. We believe that the Report was biased against Israel from the announcement of the UN mission’s mandate. This was compounded by its composition, by the selectivity of the incidents it investigated, by the witnesses it interviewed and by its almost complete failure to refer to terrorism and to the defensive context of Israel’s operation in Gaza in January 2009. Hamas: Netanyahu's attack on Goldstone report proves involvement in war crimes

GAZA, (PIC)-- Hamas has said that the harsh verbal attack of Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu against the Goldstone report proved truth of the report in incriminating Israel in war crimes during the aggression on Gaza.

Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, told the PIC on Monday that Netanyahu's speech also proved that the PA in Ramallah had extended a precious service to Israel when it asked for delaying the voting on that report at the UN human rights council.

The Ramallah authority and the Fatah leadership had committed a historic crime against the Palestinian people and cause, the spokesman charged.

Netanyahu told the Israeli parliament that Goldstone report represented a challenge that his government should deal with because it pictured Israeli soldiers as war criminals.
