Israeli Occupation Policeman killed South of Al-Khalil


14/06/2010 An Israeli occupation policeman was killed near the West Bank settlement of Beit Hagai south of Al-Khalil and another was injured when armed Palestians opened fire at their vehicle Monday morning.

Occupation police and army were deployed to the area and were checking whether the police car was ambushed or fired on from a passing vehicle. The occupation army instructed settlers in the nearby Otniel and Beit Hagai settlements, to remain inside their homes until the end of the search.

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- Four Israeli border policemen were wounded when they fell in an ambush reportedly by Palestinian resistance fighters south of Al-Khalil at dawn Monday, Israeli army sources said.

They added that the four policemen were passing near the settlement of Beit Hagai south of Al-Khalil adjacent to the ring road 60 when they came under attack.

The sources pointed out that two were seriously wounded while the third and fourth were moderately hurt in the attack and were carried to a Negev hospital.

No Palestinian party declared responsibility for the attack so far.
