Head of Change and Reform Bloc MP Michel Council confirmed that the US, UN Security Council, "Israel", nor the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) can remove the Lebanese people's arms, because it is a natural right.Furthermore, Aoun denounced the March 14 team's attempt to hide the historic role of the arms in lives and spirits of the Lebanese people.
He also criticized their attempts to deteriorate the image of those who sacrificed their blood for Lebanon, wondering, "Where are the crimes that the resistance committed against the Lebanon?" also stressing that the resistance would not commit the so-called crimes.
In a speech he delivered during the Free Patriotic Party's dinner on the memory of March 14, MP Michel Aoun addressed those who plan to rally in the martyrs square in Beirut, advising them to "sleep and not bother going to the rally because no one will help them in removing the arms".
On the same level, Aoun believed that the March 14 team, during the month of March, has been exploiting the aims issue as if it were political merchandise used when needed.
He clarified that canceling the resistance arms serves the interests of the "Israeli" enemy, adding that each request to remove the said weapons lies in what's best to the "Israeli" security.
Regarding the STL, Head of Change and Reform Bloc pointed out that former PM Rafiq Hariri's assassination crime has been widely exploited, clarifying that is why he no longer is the martyr of Lebanon, but rather "his family's deceased".
Aoun referred to the false witnesses' issue, affirming that they are protected by the STL and the Lebanese government.
