JENIN, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday night informed the family of Mohammed Al-Khatib, who attacked and killed an Israeli soldier south of Nablus on Wednesday, that their home would be razed.

Local sources said that IOF troops in 25 army vehicles raided the center of Yabad village, Jenin district, and imposed a curfew before arresting six citizens.

They said that the detainees were mostly brothers of Khatib including a teenager.

The witnesses reported that the soldiers confiscated computers, mobiles, photos and identification documents from the homes of father and brothers of Mohammed Al-Khatib.

The attacker was slightly wounded when he was hit by a car while trying to flee the scene of the attack.

Salam Fayyad, the premier of the illegitimate Ramallah government, strongly condemned the killing of the soldier, adding that his authority would adopt all necessary measures to block recurrence of such incidents.

He said that the attack "contradicts Palestinian national interests and efforts exerted by the PA and its commitments".
